Bang! When to Pull the Trigger on Your Marriage
Posted on November 18th, 2008 at 1:32 pm by TPWrites

I know, things have slowed down a bit here on TOYi Talk, the blog. That’s because things are really heating up on TOYi Talk, the Radio Show. However, you all know that writing is my love and I’d never leave you for long. So…
Let’s get to it.
I am a vocal advocate of happy, healthy relationships. But let’s face it, sometimes a man just CANNOT, WILL NOT do the right thing. In that case, when do you pull the trigger and say enough is enough? Pull the trigger when YOU decide that you’re finished trying to rehabilitate what American Society and Deadbeat Father’s have created…..irresponsible, ungrateful boys who are the same height as grown men but that’s where the similarities end.
I’m going to break rank a little and discuss, not how to save your relationship, but when to call it quits. I’m still an advocate of everybody trying to work it out, but I have heard some stories lately that make me wanna Holla like Nathan McCall. For men reading this post, you must know this….when we leave it is not the moment we first found out about your stupidity. It is the moment when we moved to the final phase of the process. Obama Love
Posted on November 9th, 2008 at 11:50 pm by TPWrites
There is nothing more beautiful than two people in love. Unless, of course, it’s two beautiful people in love. My heart was warmed to tears when I saw President-elect Barack Obama and his lovely wife Michelle embrace after his acceptance speech. In fact, though it was emotional for me to see the first African American president, I did not cry until his family came out to join him.
From the first fist bump after the primary to the forehead kisses and eye to eye communication on election night, I have enjoyed seeing a couple that exuded love. Unlike what I saw from the “other” people. John McCain always walks in front of Cindy. There is always space between them when standing “together”. By looking at the two of them, I’d say Cindy could not have cared less about living in the White House. After all, she has seven other homes to choose. And I don’t even need to talk about Dollar Bill and Hillary Clinton. We all know that they can’t stand each other. (Read the rest of this story.)
Countdown to Holiday Dry Spells (or Not)
Posted on November 2nd, 2008 at 10:40 pm by TPWrites
It’s November and the holiday season is upon us. Whether you are hosting Thanksgiving dinner or you are traveling to the in-laws for Christmas, you’ll need to make a decision whether or not you are going to have sex during visiting time. Hopefully over these past few months of reading TOYi Talk you have developed a healthy “Get it on” sex life with your mate. I know all of you are having sex at least three times a week. Right? Yep, thought so. What will you do in a few weeks when your house is crawling with people? We live states away from the rest of our family. When it’s our turn to host, they stay for at least a week collectively. During that time we develop a closeness with each other that undoubtedly leads to intimacy. (Read the rest of this story.)
What’s His Status?
Posted on October 27th, 2008 at 11:24 am by TPWrites

Have you heard about the guy who is running around lovingly passing on his HIV status to women? I’m guessing he is not the only one but they are out there. But, he is the one that I have most recently heard about in the blogosphere.
Here’s what I read…
Ivan has women all spread out across the U.S. Especially in the area that he lives and travel too often. Ivan is from Plainfield, NJ . He has women in NY, NJ, DE, VA, FL, PA, NA, MD, Washington DC , Texas , CA and Canada . I am sure there are more. Ivan is also in the AF Reserves, stationed at Dover branch, which he talks about on an ongoing basis. This is how he gets to travel so often, for a broke man. Ivan is quiet and laid back, never refuses food, and takes, takes, and takes; Never offering to replenish anything. He doesn’t have a home to speak of; lives out of his car going from woman to woman. Once he even carried on a relationship with sisters. Something he says he’s not proud of; Yeah Right! If you are looking for a leech, a liar, and a good HIV/AIDS candidate, Ivan is your man. Let’s be clear, I am posting to put the facts out there. So that woman can make an educated decision and keep their eyes open and be safe.
Apparently the story went something like this. After debating with the women who insisted that he use a condom, he reluctantly agreed. Then, he told her afterward that he had taken it off during the process. She was immediately nervous and said she needed to know his status. He told her he was clean with no diseases. She asked for medical proof and he disappeared asking her not to contact him again. She has since tested positive for HIV. (Read the rest of this story.)
Love Has Nothing To Do With It
Posted on October 23rd, 2008 at 5:30 pm by TPWrites

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness month. Because TOYi Talk promotes healthy, happy, sexually fulfilling relationships I feel it important to highlight this issue to my readers. As you have heard me mention, I sit on the leadership council for the Center for Research on Violence Against Women. My research has shown me one important fact: Domestic Violence does not have a face. I know Juanita Bynum wants to be the “new face of domestic violence” but Honey, underneath all that make up, fake eyelashes, and weave, whatever you look like, is not the only face of the this disturbing issue. Women of all educational and economic backgrounds can become victims of domestic violence and domestic abuse. It happens in inner cities and suburbs, in public schools and preparatory schools. Women of various ages, races, and social statures are victimized by men who supposedly love them.
Let’s first define domestic violence…Domestic violence is the willful intimidation, physical assault, battery, sexual assault, and/or other abusive behavior perpetrated by an intimate partner against another. (Read the rest of this story.)
